- Binary Stream Softwares Multi-Facility Processing has helped over a hundred Microsoft Dynamics GP users make the most out of their systems by securely centralizing and consolidating multiple databases into one single database for all of their sites, locations, divisions or other organizational entities. For Microsoft Dynamics GP users this solution can save hours of processing time and has helped resellers provide significant value and scalability to existing Microsoft Dynamics GP core functionality. In 2008 several updates, integrations and enhancements further improved this state of the art solutions functionality and scope.
In efforts to better fit our customers needs, integrations to Integrity Datas Advanced Payroll, Smart List Manager and Altecs Document Imaging Software have been added to the Multi-Facility Processing in 2008. This means that within payroll you can utilize Integrity Datas software to manage complex and changing payroll situations while still managing and accounting for your multi-entity structural set-up. You can now apply Multi-Facility Processing filters to the out-of-box Smartlists in Microsoft Dynamics GP and you can customize your own Multi-Facility Processing Smartlists using Smartlist Builder. By integrating with one of the industrys best established document imaging software solutions from Altec, clients can ensure that their integrated document plans will fit within any multi-entity structure that is utilizing the Multi-Facility Processing and Altecs solution. Since the overall impact of storing and handling paper documents can be a substantial cost to any organization from a financial, environmental and resource based point of view, this development is an important one for both our customers and our partners alike.
These updates are part of Binary Streams on-going strategy to constantly invest in our solutions, using feedback from clients to improve the solutions that help them get through and streamline business critical processes. If you would like to learn more about these developments please contact Binary Stream.

- Binary Stream Softwares Lease/Loans Manager recently received several updates over the last quarter. The Lease/Loans Manager was built exclusively for businesses using Microsoft Dynamics GP who needed an embedded solution to manage multiple AR transactions related to leasing or loan activities. Whether they were leasing trucks or business equipment, the Lease/Loans Manager was fully integrated to the existing Scheduled Payments functionality within the Receivables Management module and managed essential leasing and loan activities such as using the rule of 78 to calculate and collect taxes from clients, enhanced payment status reports and streamlined transaction posting. This functionality has provided users with an average payback period of 1 year.
Of the recent developments that have been added to the Lease/Loans Manager, one of the most beneficial called Mass Cash Receipts will allow users to automatically post AR documents, create and post the cash receipts, and apply the payment to the AR document, saving on average, 2 minutes of processing time per cash receipt. This development potentially can save hundreds of hours, depending on the number of cash receipts a company manages on a regular basis. Additional billing frequencies have been added to the solution to enable it to bill and calculate interest rates on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Interest frequencies can also be scheduled, providing users with additional flexibility in their billing schedules.

Burnaby, BC - Materials Management for Healthcare, Binary Stream Softwares enterprise solution for healthcare organizations has gained new functionality in the last quarter to better serve their client needs. The solution which manages and streamlines the entire supply chain for healthcare organizations using Microsoft Dynamics GP now offers Multi-Bin functionality, improved supply requisitions and automated purchase order creation for inventory bins that are running low.
Through new Multi-Bin functionality, healthcare organizations can easily create sub-sites within their current inventory sites to better control inventory transfers that are happening in one location. This addition can help streamline inventory transfers while providing more detailed reporting.
Within supply requisitions, new developments to Materials Management now allow all adjustments to be completed under one screen. In simplifying this process all inventory usage and rentals can quickly be processed in one window. Tracking and confirmation is then accomplished through picking tickets that align with barcodes picked up from the solutions handheld integrations to streamline the entire process.
Additionally purchase orders are now automatically created when bin levels reach a predetermined quantity, set by the user. The amount to which the bins inventory is replenished can be calculated in one of two ways, by the difference between the minimum quantity and current levels or the economic order quantity (EOQ). This provides users another tool to optimize their inventory levels, both reducing costs and improving patient service through better inventory management.
Through these new developments Binary Stream continually works to bring their client feedback into their solutions. If you are interested in learning more please contact Binary Stream Software.

Burnaby, BC -In a recently published case study by Microsoft, Binary Stream Software, a gold certified software developer for Microsoft Dynamics GP, was noted as a prominent supply chain solutionist for their Material Management Module. The Material Management module is a comprehensive solution which offers Hospitals complete supply chain management for their complex procurement and fulfillment processes. As an integral part of the implementation process at Frankford Hospital the Material Management Module was noted as great asset for the hospital within their new Microsoft Dynamics GP system.
In the fall of 2004 Binary Stream worked with Microsoft Dynamics reseller, Tectura to provide a Microsoft Dynamics GP based solution which would satisfy the intricate needs of Frankford’s various accounting processes. Before this implementation the hospital had been running a system primarily based upon a paper trial for orders and request approvals. Since materials management costs are often the second greatest expenditures that hospitals incur, Binary Stream’s Materials Management piece was an important addition to the Great Plains project. The module allowed Frankford to track down several elements of their supply chain in greater detail, improving their audit trail within Dynamics GP. Through the automation of several order processes Frankford Hospitals also managed to streamline their purchase-request processes and vendor management.
