Binary Stream Software has been named to the 2009 Microsoft Dynamics President’s Club for the third consecutive year, receiving recognition from Microsoft Corp. for its dedicated commitment to customers. This honor reflects Binary Stream Software’s success in extending the Microsoft Dynamics platform to drive business advantages in companies worldwide.
This recognition came during Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference in New Orleans. - Over the last ten years, Binary Stream Software has come a long way to become a member of Microsoft’s prestigious President’s Club and an integral player within the Microsoft Partner Channel. Employing over twenty-five people and having been named one of the fastest growing companies in British Columbia by Business in Vancouver, Binary Stream Software started off modestly in Lak Chahal’s basement in 1999. As a one man operation Lak, began building connections and developing custom solutions for Microsoft Dynamics GP within the partner community. Slowly the company grew to become a provider of several packaged solutions for common workflow bottlenecks in Microsoft Dynamic GP and by 2003 over fifteen products were being offered in variety of industries to fit a multitude of client needs.
Now as a mature organization Binary Stream has grown in size and reputation, through the help and support of their partners and end-users, to become one of the fastest growing companies in British Columbia and one of the top five percent of Microsoft partners worldwide. As they pass the ten year mark, Lak Chahal stated “We want to look back and thank everyone who has helped us get where we are today. We are truly grateful for the support of our partners, end-users and the Microsoft community overall. With ten years behind us, we know we are set to face the challenges and opportunities that will come tomorrow.” On February 1, 2009 Binary Stream officially reached the ten year landmark.

- Binary Stream Software's Multi-Facility Processing has helped over a hundred Microsoft Dynamics GP users make the most out of their systems by securely centralizing and consolidating multiple databases into one single database for all of their sites, locations, divisions or other organizational entities. For Microsoft Dynamics GP users this solution can save hours of processing time and has helped resellers provide significant value and scalability to existing Microsoft Dynamics GP core functionality. In 2008 several updates, integrations and enhancements further improved this state of the art solution’s functionality and scope.
In efforts to better fit our customer’s needs, integrations to Integrity Data’s Advanced Payroll, Smart List Manager and Altec’s Document Imaging Software have been added to the Multi-Facility Processing in 2008. This means that within payroll you can utilize Integrity Data’s software to manage complex and changing payroll situations while still managing and accounting for your multi-entity structural set-up. You can now apply Multi-Facility Processing filters to the out-of-box Smartlists in Microsoft Dynamics GP and you can customize your own Multi-Facility Processing Smartlists using Smartlist Builder. By integrating with one of the industry’s best established document imaging software solutions from Altec, clients can ensure that their integrated document plans will fit within any multi-entity structure that is utilizing the Multi-Facility Processing and Altec’s solution. Since the overall impact of storing and handling paper documents can be a substantial cost to any organization from a financial, environmental and resource based point of view, this development is an important one for both our customers and our partners alike.
These updates are part of Binary Stream’s on-going strategy to constantly invest in our solutions, using feedback from clients to improve the solutions that help them get through and streamline business critical processes. - Binary Stream Software's Lease/Loans Manager recently received several updates over the last quarter. The Lease/Loans Manager was built exclusively for businesses using Microsoft Dynamics GP who needed an embedded solution to manage multiple AR transactions related to leasing or loan activities. Whether they were leasing trucks or business equipment, the Lease/Loans Manager was fully integrated to the existing “Scheduled Payments” functionality within the Receivables Management module and managed essential leasing and loan activities such as using the rule of 78 to calculate and collect taxes from clients, enhanced payment status reports and streamlined transaction posting. This functionality has provided users with an average payback period of 1 year.
Of the recent developments that have been added to the Lease/Loans Manager, one of the most beneficial called “Mass Cash Receipts” will allow users to automatically post AR documents, create and post the cash receipts, and apply the payment to the AR document, saving on average, 2 minutes of processing time per cash receipt. This development potentially can save hundreds of hours, depending on the number of cash receipts a company manages on a regular basis. Additional billing frequencies have been added to the solution to enable it to bill and calculate interest rates on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Interest frequencies can also be scheduled, providing users with additional flexibility in their billing schedules.
