What Our Customers Say

“Using a separate payroll system, we use eConnect to integrate our payroll data to Microsoft Dynamics GP. While eConnect did work for us, we knew we could improve the process to reduce the amount of labour required to process the integrations. When we spoke to our reseller, they recommended that we speak to Binary Stream and sure enough, they did their homework and came up with a customization that has helped us dramatically reduce the time it takes to process our payroll. They truly are Microsoft Dynamics GP experts!”

Microsoft Dynamics GP Customizations

As development experts in Microsoft Dynamics GP customizations, we can deliver the solutions you need to streamline your mission critical business processes within Microsoft Dynamics GP. With our 20 years of experience delivering custom solutions for Great Plains, we have proven expertise in Microsoft Dynamics GP’s architecture. We have worked with every module within Microsoft Dynamics GP, extensively and know exactly which development tools to use for each specific customization. By utilizing the latest Microsoft technologies and innovative development methodologies we work to maximize the existing functionality of Microsoft Dynamics GP. Binary Stream creates software from a large repository of existing code from previous customizations, which will help you lower the cost of development and create an overall greater value and a faster ROI. Our "toolbox" for developing new customizations translates to significant costs savings to customers.

We do not bill you on an hourly basis. We trust our development team's knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP enough to rely on their quoted time. Once we have finalized a quote price, we stick to that price even if we have cost overruns. As a result, our development services are virtually risk-free in that you will get exactly what you paid for, if not more. If Microsoft Dynamics GP, is not functioning the way you want it to, contact us today to discuss your development needs with a technical sales specialist.

Our Development Approach

When we develop a custom solution for you, our highest priority is how our technology supports the attainment of your corporate goals. With this priority in mind, we are dedicated to providing superior quality services, strategically designed to support all the stages of the application development life cycle.

For each of our projects, we apply the following 8 step process to ensure your needs are met:

Discovery & Proposal 1.  DISCOVERY & PROPOSAL
Binary Stream will work closely with the VAR and the end-user to discuss the end-user’s requirements for scoping purposes. Typically, workflow documents and sample documents from the end-user are required to effectively scope the project. Once enough details have been gathered for an accurate estimate, Binary Stream will develop a proposal for sign-off. The proposal outlines the project at a fairly-detailed level and provides resource and delivery information.

Kick Off Meeting 2.  KICK OFF MEETING
Full introductions to each party’s team members and project expectations will be the first step in the “kick-off” phase. Each party’s resources will be discussed to ensure the right amount of resources are allocated to the project for a successful outcome.

Functional Design 3.  FUNCTIONAL DESIGN
More project details will be gathered and a functional design document will be created by Binary Stream to ensure there is 100% fit with the end-user’s requirements. This document is essentially a first-draft user documentation that details the entire project deliverable.

Roll Out Plan 4.  ROLL-OUT PLAN
After the functional design phase, a detailed roll-out plan of the project will be developed by Binary Stream and delivered to both the VAR and the end-user for discussion. The plan is used to ensure that the roll-out meets the expectations of the end-user.

Development 5.  DEVELOPMENT
After all the parties agree to the rollout plan, the Binary Stream team will begin actual development of the project. During this phase, there will be ongoing communications between all parties to ensure development meets 100% of the end-user’s requirements.

Testing & Bug Fixes 6.  TESTING & BUG FIXES
During the development phase, modules of code are released to the VAR and the end-user for testing. After Binary Stream has tested a module, typically, a consultant from the VAR will also conduct in-depth testing. Some end-users also get involved in the testing phase. In parallel with the testing phase, bug fixing will occur whenever bugs are discovered during the testing phase. Often, ongoing collaboration between the VAR and Binary Stream will take place to resolve any software related issues. Ongoing bug fixes continue with the end-user.

Delivery & Training 7.  DELIVERY & TRAINING
When all the obvious bugs have been fixed by Binary Stream, the project is ready for implementation. During the implementation phase, Binary Stream will assist the VAR in delivering the solution by providing remote technical support. Typically, VARs will provide training to the end-users with specialized training staff. Binary Stream supports this process by offering initial training to the VARs. Binary Stream is also capable of providing training directly to the end-user.

Ongoing Support 8.  ONGOING SUPPORT
Once all the deliverables have been received by the end-user, Binary Stream will continue to provide product support and maintenance services to VARs and the end-users through unlimited email and telephone support, bug fixes, and upgrades to the new releases of Microsoft Dynamics GP.
