QA Analyst

Currently we are looking for a QA Analyst to support our continued growth. The QA Analyst will be part of the Client Services Team. This team is accountable for the efficient design and delivery of high quality software solutions that integrate with Microsoft Dynamics GP software and other third party technologies. Working with other QA Analysts, you will be accountable for maintaining the highest quality standards of our products through designing and executing comprehensive control methods.
Your primary duties will include: creating and executing test plans, unit tests, test scenarios, regression tests, and working with developers to ensure all reported software bugs/defects are resolved.
The major challenges for the QA Analyst are to add value to solutions and ensure the efficient delivery of products, and to provide maximum benefit to clients / customers through superior product design that automates their business processes.
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- 3+ years experience in testing enterprise software
Primary responsibilities:
- Ensure products meet high quality standards
- Liaise with developers to resolve software bugs
- Assist in the development of testing procedures and controls
- Document detailed test results and provide feedback for improving development standards
- Perform unit testing procedures to ensure quality of products
- Maintain a professional demeanor with a high regard to safeguarding confidential information
Experience required:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting software is a tremendous asset
- Proficient with computers, self-directed when faced with support issues, and proficient in the use Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and Internet Explorer
- Exposure to Microsoft development tools (Dexterity, .NET, C#, MS Office, SQL Server, Sharepoint, and eConnect) is a tremendous asset
- Experience producing reports and creating summary reports using Excel and/or Word
- Experience in general principals of office management and knowledge of corporate practices and procedures is an asset
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment along with the ability to mange multiple task in a dynamic environment
- Ability to use independent judgment to manage confidential information
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting as required
- Experience with a software development related company is a desirable
- Start-up experience preferred
- Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
